MHRP South Vancouver Island offers support groups for people with lived experience of mental illness and for family and friends of people with a mental illness. All groups are offered free of charge.   No referral is required.  We offer many different programs to support you on your journey. Family & Friends Support Group

For family and friends of a loved one with a mental illness (2nd and 4th Thursday of the month, 5-630 pm)

Our “Family & Friends” Group will no longer be hosted via zoom and is going back to in-person. The first in-person meeting is for November 10, 2022, at our offices at 941 Kings Rd. from 5:00 – 6:30 pm.  We will continue with the same schedule of the 2nd. and 4th. Thursday of the month.

Please Note:  The next group for October is CANCELLED.  We hope to see you on November 10, 2022.

Early Psychosis Monthly Support Group for Families

We welcome family members and friends of young people experiencing early onset psychosis (psychosis, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, with/without substance use).
Gain information about first episode psychosis, strategies to enhance recovery, and share insights with others in a similar situation.

DROP IN: no referral/registration required/no cost

TIP: You may also wish to consider our free Family Education Course “Family Recovery
Journey” 5 sessions 4x per year. Register through or call 250-384-4225

Every month on the third Thursday 5-6:30 via Zoom.

      Yes we do! our Creative Wednesdays and Hope and Recovery groups are drop-in and open to anyone with lived experience. Further details about group times, descriptions, and Zoom links are listed on our “Events” page.
